How to evaluate engagement automation

Separate the decision engine from the sender. One product may select the audience and next action while another delivers the email, push notification or onsite message. Record where conditions, frequency limits and channel eligibility are enforced.

Compare the same event-triggered journey, including retries, opt-outs and excluded players. Ask which channels are native or supplied by a third party, and establish message costs and operational ownership. A successful API request alone does not demonstrate that the downstream action reached the player.

What to compare

01

Product role

What job does this product perform, and which adjacent jobs need another product?

02

Delivery and integration

How is it connected, what data or interfaces are required, and who owns implementation?

03

Pricing and packaging

Which recurring, usage, setup and add-on charges are included in the proposal?

04

Scope and coverage

Which markets, inputs, content or use cases are actually in the proposed scope?

05

Channels

Which channels are native and which need another provider?

06

Triggers

Can time, player activity or other events initiate the workflow?

07

Experimentation

How will journey variants and control groups be assessed?

Buyer questions, answered

Is campaign orchestration the same as message sending?

No. They are separate jobs, even when delivered by one platform.

What makes an integration claim useful?

The named products, supported events, direction of data flow, implementation owner and current availability.

What should be checked after an automated action is triggered?

Delivery or execution confirmation, failure handling and the eventual result are separate from accepting the trigger.
