How to evaluate regulatory intelligence

Start with the decisions the intelligence needs to support: research before market entry, ongoing rule monitoring or coordination of an internal control change. Select the jurisdictions, topics and primary sources required for those decisions. A broad geography claim may describe available research rather than a complete source set for every gambling activity.

Compare access to original documents, direct official links, dates, translations and the relationship between source text and vendor interpretation. Extracted requirements should remain traceable to their source. Assess alert relevance, triage, comparison reports and workflow ownership. A task created from an obligation is an instruction to act, not evidence that the control was changed or accepted by an authority.

For rollout, identify the legal/compliance reviewers and operational owners who validate applicability, assign actions and read back completion evidence. Keep licensing applications, regulatory filings, product testing and legal representation separate unless explicitly contracted. Price the required markets, topics, seats, analysis and workflow tools rather than each alert or jurisdiction as a separate product.

Buyer questions, answered

Is regulatory intelligence the same as a licence approval?

No. The reviewed platform supplies research, original documents and workflow tools. Applications, testing and authority decisions require separate processes.

Source
Why should extracted obligations retain source links?

Vixio describes linking extracted requirements to their original source and internal controls. That lets reviewers check the text and assess applicability before creating actions.

Source
Does an alert mean an operational change has been made?

No. Vixio’s monitor and triage tools surface and prioritise changes. The buyer must assess the update, assign work and verify implementation in its own organisation.
