Before you shortlist
Identify exactly what will be tested: an RNG, game mathematics, a title, a platform or an operator integration are different objects. Record the build, configuration, hosting environment and target requirements. Establish the laboratory’s applicable scope and the report or certificate required for the intended submission; a supplier’s broad approval statement does not settle acceptance of a particular project.
Map evidence and access before the test starts. Request the source, binary, mathematical, configuration and operational inputs relevant to the agreed object, together with a secure transfer and retention process. Specify successful and error cases, external interfaces and responsibility splits. A test of an interface can leave the connected third-party service outside the evaluation, while a game review can leave platform account controls outside it.
Agree findings, remediation and version control. Establish who reproduces defects, who corrects them and what triggers retesting or a new submission after a change. Ask for the final deliverable and its explicit limitations, plus regulator acceptance and client submission responsibilities. Quote the same environment, jurisdiction and version scope across providers, including follow-up work; certification work does not guarantee a licence or commercial outcome.
Which game, RNG, platform, system or integration is the object of evaluation?
Which mathematical, functional, security and operational areas are tested?
Which applicable standards and jurisdictional requirements determine the test?
Which software, mathematical, configuration and operational evidence is required?
What findings, reports or certificates are provided and to which version do they relate?
Which third-party systems are excluded and who confirms regulator acceptance?
Which changes require additional tests, revised evidence or a new submission?
How are environments, evidence transfer, access and remediation handoff managed?
Which submissions, configurations, jurisdictions, reports and retests are charged?
eCOGRA markets game-engine and platform certification separately. The tested object and purchased scope must be defined.
SourceeCOGRA describes tests of component interactions in the operator environment, including successful and error cases.
SourceGLI explicitly limits certain interface elements to their implementation within the gaming system, excluding a complete third-party-system evaluation.
