How to evaluate betting exchange platforms

Separate the exchange engine from the liquidity agreement. Establish who can post prices, how bets are matched, which orders can be cancelled and what happens during a market suspension.

Compare the operator’s responsibilities for exposure, settlement, customer balances and market integrity. Ask for actual liquidity sources and coverage rather than treating a large advertised event catalogue as evidence of available depth. Review territorial permissions for the proposed exchange model.

Is an exchange the same as a conventional sportsbook?

Does an exchange platform establish the depth available in each market?

No. The engine and the commercial liquidity arrangement need separate evaluation.
